About the Company
Niramuchu Art & Design is a Finnish company founded in 2019 with the passion to design and create unique and fun products for alternative people of all ages.
The artwork and designs are heavily inspired by Japanese pop culture and street fashion, alongside more dark and gothic themes and concepts. The product lines concentrate on jewellery and accessories as well as more traditional print products such as stickers and postcards.
All of our products are designed and drawn by the founder and artist, Aliisa.
Our products are sold on our online webshop, at various different events in Finland and through our retailers and business partners. We choose the events we attend according to our target audience as well as our core values.
Our retailers are chosen based on our mutual interests and values, and we hope to represent our brand in their stores proudly.
Sustainability and values
In our manufacturing and packaging we aim to use ethical, sustainable and environmentally friendly choices. Most of our items are printed and cut in Europe and assembled by hand in Finland.
It’s important to us that in creating new items for people to enjoy, we do it as sustainably as possible and thus do our part in making the world a better place.
Some of our most important values are equality, inclusiveness and open-mindedness. Our shop is always a safe place regardless of your ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or gender.

About the Artist
Hey there!
I’m Aliisa Matthews, the Finnish-British self-taught artist behind the brand. I’m a woman with a vision to build a brand that looks like me and presents the opportunity to pour my creativity into something everyone can enjoy.
Currently residing in a small town in Finland, I aim to create a more fun and colourful world with my artwork while also keeping a clear mindset and focus on growing my business.
The Story begins
I started my company as a small side hustle while I was studying business in Lahti University of Applied Sciences and while also working part time in retail.
The Classic Deer Skull Keyring design is what started the whole Niramuchu brand and the word “classic” in the name is a reference to how it all began in 2019: my first product line of floral decorated animal skulls that became my flagship designs.
In particular the deer skull design was so popular, it ended up becoming the brand’s logo and continues to be one of our most popular and best selling designs in various product formats.
In the beginning many of my design concepts focused on animal skulls and skeletons. Even though I have later branched out to many different styles and themes, these unique and interesting concepts still hold a special place in my heart.
The Skeleton of the Unicorn Necklace from 2020 has remained one of our most distinguished pieces of all time - and I still wear it weekly myself!
In 2021 I wanted to move on to making more jewellery and create a series of simple and pretty designs to satisfy my dark, gothic heart.
While I did want to include different ideas and concepts, I wanted them to surround a specific theme that spoke to my customers - and so the Witchy Vibes Collection was born. One of our most popular designs and my own personal favourite piece has always been this Witchy Vibes Cat Necklace.
Becoming a full-time business owner
After I graduated with my bachelor’s degree, I continued growing my small business while still working part time until the summer of 2022, when I finally bid farewell to my job and started pursuing my career as a business owner full-time.
At the same time we were slowly coming out of the secluded world of COVID19 and life was starting to get back to normal. I wanted to remind people to make every single day worth a celebration, and so I came up with the Party Time! Collection - a series of more fun and colourful designs than ever before!
The Balloon Dog Earrings were instantly the number one item in this collection, and have since come out in more variations and colours to continue to bring smiles to people’s faces.
Rabbits have always had a special place in my heart and having owned pet rabbits ever since I was a child, I had a passion to dedicate a whole series of items around them. When I learned that in the Chinese Zodiac the year 2023 is the year of the rabbit, I knew that the time was right.
I wanted to incorporate the symbolism of cherry blossoms into these designs and so I came up with the Year of the Rabbit series. The series was so popular that I decided to continue it with the next zodiac animal of each year.
The Story continues
Since then, I have lived and breathed this lifestyle of an entrepreneur and managed to grow as a person more than I had ever anticipated. While I work crazy long hours, I also enjoy every moment of it more than anything.
I feel like I have a never ending source of imagination, creativeness and ideas that I want to pour into this world - and I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of it!
